Our campsite is car free. Only on the day of arrival the baggage can be transported to the reception area by car and then reloaded on the departure day. Carts are available for luggage transport to the camping space. Depending on the “sand situation”, this needs some effort. But you will be compensated by camping in a non-subdivided dune landscape.

Camping in the sand dunes requires long tent pegs, with short tent needles you will get nothing here. The tent should also withstand stronger winds or storms, which can also be experienced in summer on Amrum. Camping in the caravan is not possible on the nudist campsite Amrum.

The power supply (for cooking, camping-fridge, etc.) in the tent normally takes place with propane gas. A few places have (for a fee) a power connection (please reserve). For thermal packs (please label) there are freezers. Numerous sockets for the charging of electronic devices are available at the wash house. However, since these are not lockable, the use of so-called “power stations” is recommended. Alternatively, you can of course use your own solar panels. There are washing machines and tumble dryers in the washhouse.

Apart from the baker, who comes in the main season in the morning, there is no shopping facilities at the campsite, also no catering. The next shops in Wittdün or Nebel can be reached by bike in about 15 minutes.

Depending on the weather, one moves on the campsite and on the beach naked or clothed, but wearing Bikinis or similar is frowned upon.

Living in a nature reserve requires compliance with certain rules, in particular the protection of dunes. The tents must be installed at a sufficient distance from the dune base. Entering the dune ridges is not permitted, except the official beach transitions.

For camping in nature, it is best to do without the car if possible. There is a sufficient number of bicycle stands on the camping site. If you do not want to bring your own bicycles, you can rent bicycles in every village of the island.
